Organized by the Spanish Association of the Sports Press and the City Council, the event will bring together 1200 people in an event that will be broadcast live by RTVE
The best Catalan and Spanish athletes of the moment will meet in Santa Susanna around the XLV National Sports Gala 2026, organized by the Spanish Association of the Sports Press (AEPD), together with the City Council. The event will be held on April 27 at the Colomer Park Pavilion, it will be attended by 1200 people, including athletes, journalists, businessmen, etc. and will be broadcast live by RTVE.
This will be the first time that Catalonia will host the Gala. Until now I had never landed in our house. Yes, it had been done in Madrid, Valladolid, Seville, Valencia, Alicante, Zaragoza, Bilbao or San Sebastián to give just a few examples, but never here.
The National Sports Gala is one of the most important sports festivals held in Spain. It has a long tradition, as evidenced by the fact that this year is the 45th edition. The event serves to pay tribute to the best athletes of the Spanish State of the 2025.
For a few hours, Santa Susanna will become the capital of Spanish sport and all the focus will be on what will be done and said here.
The 62nd AEPD congress will also be held
Coinciding with the Gala, the 62nd Congress of the Spanish Sports Press will also be held in Santa Susanna on Tuesday 28 April. The conclave will bring together around 300 sports journalists to analyse and discuss the present and future of the profession.
Hosting a Gala of this category and the congress of Spanish sports journalists is the result of Santa Susanna's commitment to the deseasonalisation of tourism through high-level sporting events and events.
It should be remembered that Santa Susanna, in addition to being the world capital of Fitness, hosts championships of all mountain bike modalities, also the oldest equestrian endurance race in Europe, the Raid Barcelona-Santa Susanna, or, in May 2024, the 86th Congress of the International Sports Press Association.
