The City Council has implemented new software that allows companies to measure the degree of accessibility in areas such as mobility, visual and auditory communication, cognitive needs and special family needs.
The Santa Susanna City Council is promoting a new initiative to promote more inclusive and accessible tourism. In recent months, the PROA software has been launched, a free digital tool that allows tourism companies and services in the municipality to self-assess the accessibility of their establishments in various categories.
This software makes it possible to measure accessibility in areas such as mobility, visual and auditory communication, cognitive needs and special family needs. In addition, it offers specific recommendations for improvement and generates useful reports for both internal management and the promotion of establishments.
The ultimate goal is to have a complete guide to accessible tourist resources in Santa Susanna and position the municipality as a benchmark destination in tourism inclusion and quality.
The City Council has offered two training sessions and technical support to all companies interested in joining the project. In the trainings, the operation of the software and the accessibility criteria have been explained in depth.
